With regular flights from airports across the UK to Inverness, you can be ensconced in the castle’s drawing room before a roaring fire, wee dram in hand, within hours of leaving home.
The drive from Inverness airport is your Highland initiation: firstly hugging the picturesque coastline along the Beauly Firth then heading into vast open farmland and further on to wild countryside and verdant parkland beneath the high hills around Sgurr a’ Phollain. Leaving the main road, the castle drive wends through mature woods and delivers you to an unspoilt four-storey castle that is a feast for the eyes. Our gardens are a delight with extensive well-tended lawns, views to open parkland, moor and mountain, and Erchless Woods to explore.
Our accommodation is stylish and luxurious. The ground floor consists of full-sized snooker room with a piano, kitchen with a range and a built-in oven, boot room, laundry and utility room and an outside store room. On the first floor you will find an ample drawing room, spacious kitchen, breakfast room, large dining room with seating for all guests, two double bedrooms and a shower room. A wide sweeping staircase takes you to the second floor where there are a further five bedrooms including the Baroness bedroom and the Chisholm double and single connecting rooms, perfect for a small family. Finally, the third floor houses a two-bedroomed flat that can accommodate four people in a double and twin room. It is perfect for those needing a little more privacy or a smaller party. Access is by a steep spiral staircase and is three floors up so is more suitable for the physically fit!

The Drawing Room
Elegant and comfortable furnishings in an enormous yet cosy room that is perfect for after dinner gatherings around a roaring fire. Let the conversation flow, play cards by the window, relax with a good book or enjoy a film together. This is a sumptuous space to curl up on a sofa and do exactly what feels right to you.
The Kitchen
Your stay at the castle can be self-catering but the kitchen is large and well-equipped for caterers to prepare food for your party. We have an extensive list of private chefs catering to all tastes. Whether cooking for pleasure or professionally, this space provides everything a chef needs to prepare amazing meals for your whole group. The breakfast room adjoins the kitchen and has wonderful views across the gardens.
The Snooker Room
A fabulous wood-panelled room with windows on two aspects that let light flood in. With seating for spectators, it is perfect for a family tournament or a relaxing game after dinner while others lounge in the drawing room. This is a fun space for those with energy still left after a day's activity. The piano is tuned and ready to play, too.
The Flat
On the fourth floor, at the very top of the castle, is a private two-bedroomed flat comprising double and twin rooms, bathroom, a dressing room adjoining the double room and a delightfully comfortable sitting room with open fireplace. This can be a secret hideaway from a larger party for those that need their space. Access is by a spiral staircase that ascends three floors.
The Baroness Bedroom
The most spacious and luxurious bedroom in the castle, it comes complete with four-poster bed and chaise longue. It is perfect for a bride and groom to spend their first night of wedded bliss in this most romantic of locations. With comfortable furnishings throughout, you really can spread out and relax on your perfect Highland wedding day.
