The Highlands is home to some of the best sporting opportunities with its fast-flowing rivers that are perfect for salmon and trout fishing and rugged moorland frequented by red deer and grouse. With stunning scenery as far as the eye can see, the experience isn't just about the catch and the kill but being immersed in this rich, wild and unspoilt landscape.
Fishing
The Estate has two rotating beats available for fly fishing on the picturesque River Glass with up to four rods per beat available from Monday to Saturday inclusively. The fishing season runs from 11 February to 15 October.
With our fast rivers creating the perfect conditions for salmon and brown trout. Why not hire a ghillie to show you the best runs for your experience level so that the sessions offer just the right level of challenge? The pristine riverscape is second to none so if a peaceful day away from the pressures of life is what you need, join us for a rewarding day at the water's edge.
Stalking
The stag season runs from 1 July to 20 October and the hind season from 21 October to 15 February.
Taking place up on Erchless Hill, your party will walk out from the castle with our estate stalker supervising you. Our stalking isn’t just about firing a shot, it encompasses all there is to know about the terrain, flora and fauna in this incredibly rich natural environment. There is as much to see with the naked eye as there is down the barrel of a gun. Shots can only be fired at the stalker's discretion so anyone, from beginner to experienced, can confidently take part. Everyone can enjoy learning about our wild landscape whether they take a shot or not.
Shooting

We can also organise clay shooting for your party right here in the grounds. This experience is open to guests aged 12 upwards with adult supervision. Experts will be on hand to guide and teach you every step of the way, ensuring a safe and rewarding activity whoever is taking part.
